Quit The Day Job And Live The Life You Want

You wake up, grab some coffee, hop in your car and start your commute made so much longer by traffic. You arrive at your office, sit at your desk, and have your boss come over repeatedly and get after you for things that are not your fault. You get back in your car, drive home, hop into bed and get some sleep. The alarm sounds, and you wake up... and repeat.

Sooner or later one wakes up from this 10 years later and wonders where the heck their life went. I know, because I was there (well, not for ten years, but it sure felt like it!). So when is it time for you to finally break free from that boring day job and finally start living the life you have always dreamed of?

True we all have bills and such that need to be paid, but is it really at the risk of wasting our own lives? I don't think so. And this is why one day I woke up, got in my car with the intentions of finally quitting my horrible day job. I got to the office, gave my two weeks notice, and finally a wave of relief swept over me. It was fantastic! And for the next two weeks I had people coming up and saying how great it was that I was finally getting out of the rat race.

This actually made me think though, why was I being seen as special? Why do others not follow this? It then occurred to me that the reason may be because they are afraid or do not know that there are vast number of possibilities out there that allow anyone to make a living while having their days back for themselves.

With the help of the internet their are a vast number of opportunities for the next entrepreneurs to start their own new business ventures. If you enjoy writing (and no, you do not need to be a professional writer to do so), there are countless ways to write articles and blogs to earn some extra cash. Some people can make quite a good living out of this.

If photography is more your thing, then there are many places that accept stock footage that they sell. All you have to do is upload your work and let the money roll in (this can take quite a lot of photos though to earn the cash you may be expecting).

The list can continue. If you are determined to start living your life again, then by all means there are ways to work from home on your own schedules. I am doing it, and know plenty of other people also living out their own dreams.

One more little piece of advice though, it is of course a good idea to have a few month's savings saved up as this money will not just start pouring in. It takes a little time for your new business ventures to start earning, but once they do, you will never have to look back.
