A Cheap Way To Create The DVD Collection You Have Always Wanted
63
Who doesn't love to sit down on their comfy couch and put in one of their all time favorite DVDs into their TV for a great evening in? We all love movies. And we all would love to have our own DVD collection. However, when looking at the standard prices of most DVDs I am sure we will all agree that this may be an easier said then done accomplishment. But, fear not my fellow film fans, there are actually quite a few places that offer much cheaper DVD prices so you too can have the DVD collection you have always dreamed of.
The Tactics:
Any film lover should start by buying their utmost favorite DVDs. Especially if on a budget you do not want to waste your precious money on DVDs you may or may not watch over and over again. You may have to shell out a few extra dollars on these favorites, but at least you will always have the benefit of knowing that you will get a lot of use out of these titles.
The Suppliers:
There are actually quite a few places where one can find some amazing deals on DVD prices. You really do not have to shell out full price for any of them if you do not want to. You may have to be patient though, as sales come and go.
BIG LOTS:
I really cannot stress enough how Big Lots can have some of the most amazing deals on DVDs. And they are actually fairly good titles as well. I have paid 2 to 3 dollars for some films that I absolutely love! (I have also seen titles here that I paid around 15 bucks for 2 to 3 dollars too :/). The only downfall with Big Lots is that you will usually have to search through hundreds of titles on cramped little shelves. So do be prepared to spend some time looking.
BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO:
Although rental fees are most of the time through the roof, Blockbuster Video does offer some great deals on purchasing previously viewed titles. They usually always have a 4 for $20 deal going on. Look around and you may find some 3 dollar titles amongst them as well. Hollywood Video too does specials like this.
AMAZON.COM:
Amazon.com is one of the leading sites as far as online buying goes. So it's really no shock that they also offer some great DVD deals. The best, however, are the used DVD prices. I bought a DVD on here for a penny one time...plus shipping and handling of course, but it was all still under 3 dollars. Look around and you may find some fabulous deals.
SWAP MEETS:
The local swap meet is also a fabulous place to find some great DVD prices. They are usually old video rentals, but can still be bought for an exceptional deal. I got some new titles for 5 bucks one time. If you can haggle, maybe you can even get them for cheaper.
BEST BUY:
Best Buy is another great place that can sometimes have some fairly decent sales on DVDs. Once in a while they will make new titles 4 dollars, and sometimes even 3. Their sales come and go, and for the best deals it is good to get there when they first start (usually every Sunday).
If you are looking for full collections, sometimes people list entire DVD collections for sale on sites like Craigslist and such. These will often go for quite a penny, but still a good deal when considering how many titles they have.
Hopefully this will have every fellow DVD collector off on the right step when accumulating their ultimate dream collections. DVD collecting can be really fun. And half the fun will most definitely come from finding the best deals.
